Inter‘s Curva Nord ultras blamed coach Simone Inzaghi after Monday’s 0-0 draw against strugglers Sampdoria: ‘He doesn’t motivate the team.’

The Nerazzurri are 15 points below table leaders Napoli and only three above Milan who sit fifth on goal difference. Ultras reacted to the draw at Marassi with a statement published on Instagram where they blamed the Italian tactician.

“The dull draw against the second-last in the table once again proves that Mr Inzaghi is not able to motivate his players against ‘small’ teams,” the statement reads.

“We saw a small team mentality, especially in the second half when he stuck to his system rather than playing with three strikers. We are Inter; opponents should fear us.

“We should be aggressive and demonstrate superiority. On the other hand, we look like a small team who are happy with a draw. We wasted three vital points and three teams are ready to catch us after the next misstep.”

Inzaghi has won three trophies in his 18 months at Inter but failed to retain the Serie A title last season, seeing Milan lift the first Scudetto trophy in 11 years.
