With Leonardo Spinazzola returning to Roma after a failed swap with Matteo Politano, Inter turn their attention to Chelsea-owned Victor Moses.

The exchange with Politano was seemingly abandoned today after both players had medicals, as the Nerazzurri tried to change the terms of the option to buy and demanded extra fitness tests for the left-back.

Negotiations broke down and this afternoon Spinazzola landed back at the airport in Rome, while Politano is heading north to Milan.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter are instead focusing on Moses, who Chelsea have loaned to Fenerbahce.

He has only made six appearances for Fenerbahce this season, largely due to two serious thigh injuries.

It’s reported Chelsea would be prepared to simply interrupt the loan – with the agreement of the Turkish club – to hand Moses over to Antonio Conte’s Inter until the end of this term.

They had initially wanted €10m for a permanent sale.

Moses worked well under Conte at Chelsea, contributing eight goals and eight assists in 78 appearances over two seasons.
