Inter are said to be in negotiations to sign Udinese and Nigeria international goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, who is valued at €12m plus bonuses.

The Nerazzurri need a younger shot-stopper to be the heir to Yann Sommer in future and do not seem intent on activating their option to buy Emil Audero, who spent this season on loan from Sampdoria.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Okoye is high on the Inter wish-list and they are in talks to get a deal done this summer.

Inter targeting Okoye

Okoye was not the first choice at Udinese, but eventually proved decisive to secure their safety on the final round of the Serie A season.

He turns 25 in August and has 16 senior caps for Nigeria, under contract at the Bluenergy Arena until June 2027.

Formerly at Watford and Sparta Rotterdam, he came to Udinese in August 2023 and amassed 22 appearances this season between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

The asking price is €12m plus add-ons, which Inter are trying to negotiate down.
