Inter-owned centre-forward Andrea Pinamonti remains hot property in Serie A, with Atalanta joining Torino, Monza and Fiorentina in the running.

The striker made a good impression during his loan spell with Empoli, scoring 13 goals in 36 Serie A appearances for the Tuscans.

Pinamonti has been put up for sale this summer, the club hoping to raise circa €20m that can then be used to cover Romelu Lukaku’s return from Chelsea on loan.

Monza were desperate to make the deal stick, happy to pay the €20m, but the 23-year-old is not convinced he wants to join a side making their first foray into the top flight, even if they are run by former Milan chiefs Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani.

Torino and Salernitana are also eager, while Fiorentina seem to have secured Luka Jovic on loan from Real Madrid instead.

Now Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà points towards Atalanta as the next step for Pinamonti’s career, where Luis Muriel is on his way out.

3 thought on “Inter trying to find buyer for Pinamonti”
  1. Another top Italian club rejecting another young Italian talent, a center forward no less. Meanwhile, another World Cup without Italian representation, due to the fact that they can’t put the ball in the back of the net.

  2. @Joey – You’re spot on. The top clubs in other leagues are always on the hunt for academy players they can make central figures at their club. Top Italian clubs on the other hand are more concerned about the peanuts in capital gains they can make in transfers for their own academy players. Such a shame.
