Inter have reportedly removed references to their digital sponsors DigitalBits after the cryptocurrency company was late providing payment to the club.

The Nerazzurri had signed a deal worth $85m over four years, last season appearing as their sleeve sponsor and this term supposedly the main sponsor on the jersey.

There are also global digital marketing deals making them a feature on the club’s website.

However, Il Sole 24 Ore – Italy’s version of the Financial Times – reports today that at the end of the 2021-22 campaign, DigitalBits had delays paying the first $5m of the deal.

The problem receiving payments has irritated Inter to the point that they have removed all references to DigitalBits on their official website.

News agency ANSA also spoke with sources close to the club, who confirmed there are some difficulties, but that they are working to “resolve the problem.”

DigitalBits also sponsor Roma’s jerseys, but they do not seem to have had the same issues.
