Inter have a tough week ahead as they get ready to face Milan with six players who are currently positive for Covid-19, plus Stefano Sensi who is suspended. Antonio Conte will only have one training to prepare the team for Saturday’s clash.
The likes of Alessandro Bastoni, Milan Skriniar, Roberto Gagliardini, Radja Nainggolan, Ionut Radu and Ashley Young have tested positive for Covid-19 and will not be eligible to play against Milan on Saturday while Stefano Sensi is suspended.
As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, Bastoni could be eligible to play if he'll have one negative swab on Thursday, provided that the Italian Government reduces the quarantine period to ten days.
Inter’s squad depth would allow Antonio Conte to line-up a very competitive XI on Saturday provided that there will be no more bad news in the coming days.
According to Sky Sport, most of Inter players who are currently on International duty will make return to the Suning centre on Thursday when they will have one swab test each.
If they will all come back negative, Conte will only have one training session on Friday to prepare the match against Milan.
Meanwhile a ‘bubble’ has been created at the Suning centre where players who have tested negative for Covid and those who have not joined their national teams are training keeping a security distance. At the moment they are only four: Andrea Ranocchia, Samir Handanovic, Daniele Padelli and Matteo Darmian.
