Inter are set to take to the pitch at San Siro wearing sponsorless jerseys after abandoning their deal with DigitalBits after the cryptocurrency firm failed to make payments for the entirety of the 2022-23 season.

The Nerazzurri have also removed DigitalBits advertising from around the ground at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Inter will therefore be donning a ‘clean’ shirt with no logos on the front of the kit, to the delight of many fans online, who are already enjoying the prospect of the slightly retro look in the absence of front-of-shirt sponsors.

DigitalBits have also failed to make payments to Roma in recent weeks, despite having paid the majority of their instalments on time for the majority of the season.

The lack of payment led to the Giallorossi dropping their name from their shirts in their most recent game against Milan on Saturday evening.

The Capital club instead donned ‘SPQR’ on their shirts, in reference to the Ancient Roman name for the city.
