Inter President Erick Thohir has announced that the Nerazzurri will retire club legend Javier Zanetti’s No 4 shirt.
The Argentine, who is now vice-President at the San Siro club, made a record 615 appearances in a 19-year stint with the Nerazzurri.
The 41-year-old has organised a charity match at San Siro on May 4 and Thohir confirmed yesterday that the No 4 shirt will be officially retired at the event.
Zanetti last night reacted on Twitter to the announcement of the President.
