Lorenzo Insigne seems far from reaching an agreement over a new deal with Napoli and Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has reportedly prepared an offer including Alexis Sanchez.

The rumours of a move away from the Partenopei are getting stronger and Il Corriere dello Sport reports Inter director Marotta is preparing an offer worth €15m plus the Chilean attacker.

Sanchez has been linked with a move to MLS in recent weeks, as Inter are looking to get rid of his wages, something that could be an obstacle also for Napoli.

The newspaper claims Marotta has prepared a deal worth €6m a season for Insigne, but could also decide to wait until January, when the player is free to discuss with other clubs.

The newspaper believes Aurelio De Laurentiis asks for €30m to part ways with the Azzurri captain and that Napoli are not interested in Sanchez, especially due to his €7m-a-year salary.

Sky: Inter ask Napoli for Insigne?

Insigne’s deal with Napoli expires in June 2022 and his future is increasingly uncertain, butthe Partenopei could be tempted to sell already this summer to avoid losing the player on a free transfer next year.

Inter are, according to the report, prepared to tempt Insigne to wait until January and sign a deal worth €7m.

  1. 15m plus Alexis? For Insigne? Honestly, who comes up with this? His stock is even higher now since winning the Euro’s. Napoli will lose more income if they sell him now for such a ridiculous price, than if they keep him and then let him go for free. At least if he stays one more season, he could help to get them back into the top 4 – worth a lot more than 15m plus deadwood.

  2. Well said Rosario I couldn’t have put it any better myself. Especially when you consider he was our best player last season and top goal scorer. It would be a huge loss.

  3. @Kosta.

19 goals and 7 assists is worth only 15 million euro. Varane has refused to sign a contract extension and he is still reported to be leaving real madrid for nearly 40m. A near 30 goal contributing winger is not even worth half that haha.

  4. Napoli does not want to pay Insigne’s salary so can you imagine if they want to pay Sanchez who makes more AND in injury prone ? BUT if Inter offered 24 mill + Zaniolo for Nainggolan then anything is possible !
