According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are set to lose youth academy chief Roberto Samaden after 33 years at the club.

Samaden’s current contract is due to expire on June 30 and he seems to have decided not to sign an extension, so can walk away at the end of the season.

His departure would represent a vast sea change for the Nerazzurri, as he has been in various roles for the last 33 years.

Samaden was promoted to chief of the Inter youth academy in 2010 and it proved a masterstroke, as they have churned out great talents over the last 13 years.

These include Federico Dimarco, Willy Gnonto, Cristiano Biraghi, Federico Bonazzoli, Cesare Casadei and Andrea Pinamonti.

During his time working with the youth teams, Samaden has won 16 Italian titles and played 22 Finals.

The greatest achievement of his tenure was no doubt the NextGen 2011-12 victory with Andrea Stramaccioni as the coach, effectively the youth football version of the Champions League at the time.
