The Nerazzurri are active on the transfer market this week, as they will hand Giampaolo Pazzini to Milan in exchange for Cassano plus €7m cash.
According to Sky Sport Italia, there is another transfer on the verge of completion with Napoli.
Gargano has long been a target for Coach Andrea Stramaccioni and is unsettled at the Stadio San Paolo following a row with Walter Mazzarri.
It is reported that the Uruguayan international midfielder will arrive on loan with option to buy.
