According to Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri are eager to lock him down with a new deal until June 2019.
The terms of the contract would also double Icardi’s wages from the current €0.9m per year to €1.8m.
Inter already stated that they turned down an offer from abroad for Maurito this summer, thought to be from Atletico Madrid for €20m.
