Inter are reportedly set to announce a new kit sponsorship deal with blockchain-based platform Socios that will replace Pirelli after 26 years.

Pirelli will remain one of Inter’s sponsors, but the tyre manufacturer’s name won’t appear on the Nerazzurri’s shirts from 2021-22.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Serie A champions have reached an agreement with Socios, but it is still unclear how lucrative the deal is.

According to previous reports, Inter owners Suning were looking for a new €30m-a-year kit sponsorship deal, but the details of the agreement between the Serie A giants and the blockchain-based platform haven’t been disclosed yet.

Over the past few years, Socios have partnered up with several football clubs, including Juventus, Manchester City, Barcelona and PSG.

Inter unveiled Simone Inzaghi as their new coach yesterday.

The club’s CEO Beppe Marotta said Suning want to build a competitive team, although they’d need to keep an eye on the club’s finances, which have been strongly affected by the pandemic.

The Nerazzurri’s pre-season begins today at Appiano Gentile.
