Empoli President Fabrizio Corsi confirms Fabiano Parisi is wanted by Inter, while he hints Milan have the upper hand for Kristjan Asllani.

The Tuscans were promoted as Serie B title winners last summer and secured their place in the top flight comfortably.

Some of their young talents caught the eye of bigger clubs and are expected to move on next term.

“Asllani earned his place in Serie A, convinced everyone and we hope to keep him for another year,” Corsi told Radio Marte.

“Fortunately, our priority is more about building a strong squad than replenishing the club coffers.”

According to Sportitalia and Gazzetta dello Sport transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, this gives Milan the upper hand over Inter, because the Rossoneri are planning to purchase Asllani and then leave him on loan at Empoli for the 2022-23 campaign, having already spoken to the young man’s family.

The Albania international midfielder only turned 20 in March, but was a product of the Empoli youth academy and made 22 Serie A appearances this season, contributing one goal and one assist.

As for Parisi, the 21-year-old left-back is seen as a potential heir to Ivan Perisic and understudy for Robin Gosens at Inter.

“We are still in the phase where the club has manifested an interest and appreciation for the player,” added the Empoli President.

“Parisi is a great athlete, has a marvellous shot and hunger, so we expect a lot from him. It will be difficult for us to restrain Parisi from moving onto bigger things, but we should all be happy for him.”

Parisi has made 24 Serie A appearances this season and provided one assist after his move from Avellino.
