Inter transfer target Nacho Fernandez has reportedly informed Real Madrid that he will not renew his contract this summer, but is instead going to MLS.

The defender had already been approached by the Nerazzurri last year and again during the January transfer window, with the hope of swooping for him as a free agent in July 2024.

Spanish newspaper Marca suggests that Nacho has now informed Real Madrid that he will be leaving for free at the end of the season.

However, it will not be to join Inter or even remain in Europe, as the report points him towards Major League Soccer.

Nacho has chosen MLS

There are more lucrative proposals from the Saudi Pro League, while he had also considered going to Inter, but MLS seems to be the decision for the veteran.

The Spain international centre-back is 34 years old and spent his entire career at Real Madrid, coming through the youth academy to join the main team in 2012.

Nacho made 357 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring 16 goals and providing nine assists.
