Inter take stock of soon-to-be free agent Suarez

Inter have reached out to Luis Suarez’s entourage over a possible free transfer in the summer.

The 35-year-old Uruguayan forward will be leaving Atletico Madrid at the end of next month after two years, forcing him to find a new home this summer. He has netted 11 goals in 33 La Liga appearances this season, proving that he still has the eye for goal.

As reported by Fichajes, Inter have requested information about Suarez as they prepare to strengthen their attack in the upcoming summer transfer window. Picking up the veteran on a free transfer would give Simone Inzaghi an experienced winner to add to his front line.

Other clubs are interested in the former Liverpool and Barcelona man, however, including Aston Villa, Sevilla and Inter Miami, giving the Nerazzurri some stiff competition.

Suarez was once close to a move to Juventus, but the deal never materialised amid a controversial situation involving the player and an Italian language exam.
