Inter have reached out to Luis Suarez’s entourage over a possible free transfer in the summer.

The 35-year-old Uruguayan forward will be leaving Atletico Madrid at the end of next month after two years, forcing him to find a new home this summer. He has netted 11 goals in 33 La Liga appearances this season, proving that he still has the eye for goal.

As reported by Fichajes, Inter have requested information about Suarez as they prepare to strengthen their attack in the upcoming summer transfer window. Picking up the veteran on a free transfer would give Simone Inzaghi an experienced winner to add to his front line.

Other clubs are interested in the former Liverpool and Barcelona man, however, including Aston Villa, Sevilla and Inter Miami, giving the Nerazzurri some stiff competition.

Suarez was once close to a move to Juventus, but the deal never materialised amid a controversial situation involving the player and an Italian language exam.

  1. And here lies the problem with Serie A. The league I grew up idolising has become an absolute joke. No Serie A team will ever win the Champions League again until they sort out this washed up league.

  2. no thanks (although seems like it’s a click bait!). for the whole season inter were playing with just one striker!

  3. Inter have seen how successful Milans use of Ibra and Giroud have been and they’re going to copy.

    Winning strategy.

    (That’s sarcasm by the way)

  4. @ Vogel. All 3 players you have mentioned have had great careers and are still performing at the top level. Why do you think your statement is sarcastic? Do you think LS is not capable of performing in Seria A?

  5. @Azzkikr who would you transfer then if it was you instead of Inter directors? Cavani? LOL

You know the economical constraints. Do you prefer they splash on Scamacca?

  6. just another famous Juventus case when they got away with cheating (or intention of cheating, to be technically precise)…

  7. Milan, Roma and Napoli are changing up their old guard for newer, younger players.
Even Juve are revamping their team with Vlahovic, Locatelli, Chiesa and letting go of Chiellini…
And then you have Inter who want a fossil of Suarez because he’s a cheap option.

Is Inter becoming the new retirement home of Serie A?
