Inter striker Marko Arnautovic took a step forward in his recovery after returning to on-pitch work in Appiano Gentile.

The 34-year-old joined the Nerazzurri from Bologna on the summer on loan, adding an experienced striker to Simone Inzaghi’s squad. He provided an assist on his debut and looked to be a useful option in the latter stages of matches.

Arnautovic was forced off the pitch during the final minutes of Inter’s win over Empoli on September 24 after suffering a hamstring injury, an issue that’s kept him sidelined for the last seven consecutive games.

As reported by Matteo Barzaghi and Sky Sports Italia, Arnautovic carried out individual training exercises at the training ground in Appiano Gentile today, taking a step forward in his recovery.

Inter hope to have him back in squad training by the weekend, allowing him to return to action for the Champions League clash against RB Salzburg on November 8.
