According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter star Romelu Lukaku is so determined to leave his mark in the second part of the season that he will continue training during his days off, even on Christmas.

The Belgian striker has been struggling with injuries this term, making just five appearances with the Nerazzurri.

He was not fully fit at the World Cup where he didn’t start any of Belgium’s three games in the group phase but he is determined to get back in shape for Inter ahead of the second part of the season.

According to Gazzetta, the Belgian forward will train during the three days off given by Simone Inzaghi to his players. This means that ‘Big Rom’ will also train on Christmas day, aiming to be ready for the first match of the year, against Napoli, on January 4, 2023.

Lukaku played 88 minutes in Inter’s 2-0 win over Reggina on Thursday, scoring a goal in the second half.

According to the report, he was expected to remain on the field for just 45 minutes, but the Chelsea loanee told Inzaghi and his staff that he was ready to play more, so he stayed on the pitch almost for the whole game.
