Romelu Lukaku returned to Inter training this morning and Simone Inzaghi hopes he will be fit to start against Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League next week.

The Belgian forward has been out of action since the end of August due to a muscle problem. He underwent a medical check on Tuesday and, this morning started the training session with the rest of his teammates.

It is still unclear whether Lukaku completed the whole training session with the rest of the group, but his presence on the pitch at the Suning Training Centre suggests that he may be called up for Saturday’s Serie A game against Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will decide tomorrow whether Lukaku can join the team in Florence.

According to Gazzetta, the Italian tactician hopes Big Rom will be fit to start in a key Champions League fixture against Viktoria Plzen next week when a win would allow the Serie A giants to qualify for the Round of 16 with a game to spare.
