Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has been released from international duty with Turkey, as after suffering from flu symptoms, he is taking time to become a father.

The Nerazzurri will be pleased to know that he is going to avoid playing in a friendly against England and the final EURO 2024 qualifier with Wales.

It gives him time to rest and recuperate ahead of the Serie A showdown with Juventus on November 26.

He had initially been ruled out of training for the last couple of sessions due to flu symptoms and a respiratory tract infection, but has now been released from international duty.

It is also so that he can spend time with his wife Sinem, who is expected to give birth to their second child any day now.

Inter already received some bad news from international duty, as Alessandro Bastoni sustained a calf injury for Italy and is now expected to miss crunch matches against Juve and Benfica.
