Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu could miss the Supercoppa clash with Milan on January 18 due to a hip injury, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Turkey international sustained an injury during Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Monza. As per Gazzetta, both he and Nicolò Barella will undergo medical examination tomorrow, missing the Coppa Italia Round of 16 tie with Parma at the Stadio Meazza.

According to the report, the condition of the Italian midfielder is not a matter of concern for the Nerazzurri medical staff, while Calhanoglu’s situation is different.

Calhanoglu was replaced after 55 minutes at the U-Power Stadium on Saturday.

Marcelo Brozovic is also out of action for the Nerazzurri, while Romelu Lukaku suffered a new knee problem and will be sidelined against Parma tomorrow.

Inter hope the Chelsea loanee will recover in time for the match against Milan on January 18 and the same goes for Calhanoglu who joined the Nerazzurri on a free transfer at the end of his contract with Milan in July 2021.
