Inter star Barella reveals his secret and warns Juventus

Nicolò Barella reveals how he has become one of the best midfielders in Italy and warns Juventus ahead of the Supercoppa Italiana showdown.

Barella recalled his ‘fantastic’ 2021 and revealed his targets for the future in an interview published on the matchday programme.

“It was a fantastic year, which was made unique by the Serie A and the Euros. I ended the year signing a contract extension and I am proud of it,” he said.

“I hope to win more trophies in the future, but now we need to focus on the present and play the Supercoppa, there are many games left before the end of the season.

“I want to win the Supercoppa, like my teammates. Juventus dominated the league in the last few years and are a team with great players. It’s always hard to play against them, but we are the champions of Italy and we want this cup.”

Barella is one of the best midfielders in Italy and has already plenty of experience despite being only 24-year-old.

“My secret is behind that child who used to watch every football game with his dad,” said Barella.

“I tried to learn as much as I could and then I trained on the pitch until nigh with all the energy and the determination of the player that you see today.

“If I could give advice to my younger self, I would probably say to give himself some time, because with time and determination one can always improve.”

What a player. He is the envy of most national sides and we have him. I hope he remains fit and well for the upcoming play offs especially in losing Chiesa and probably Insigne as well.

  2. DAMIR MUSTAĆ

As juventus fan its hard to hate this guy. Inter always had non italian, non likeable squad, but with him, bastoni and couple more cool players, its hard to hate them

Tonino, why would Italy lose Insigne for the Playoffs? Because he’s joining MLS in July?

I agree, Damir. Very likeable player, he is.
