Inter have reportedly decided to take Milan Skriniar off the market by raising the PSG and Tottenham target’s asking price to €80m, but face problems with Nikola Milenkovic of Fiorentina.
The Nerazzurri had planned to sell Skriniar for circa €70m and use that money to bring in Gleison Bremer from Torino as well as balance the books.
However, the delays in striking a deal with Paris Saint-Germain allowed Juventus to get in there first, securing Bremer for €50m including add-ons.
This changed their view on the situation, especially under intense fan pressure, so Sky Sport Italia report they have now decided to sell Skriniar only if someone offers €80m – and that is unlikely.
His contract is due to expire in June 2023, but the Slovakia international had already agreed an extension months ago and will stick to that pact.
Instead, the focus turns towards Milenkovic, as confirmed by director Beppe Marotta this afternoon, but there are problems here too.
Fiorentina want €15-20m to release the centre-back, which is considered far too much for someone who would not be a guaranteed starter at San Siro.
He would only be available on loan with option to buy.
