Both Inter and defender Milan Skriniar are keen to agree a contract extension until 2027, according to reports in Italy.

The Slovakia international has been one of the outstanding defenders in Serie A over the past few years and is a target for several Premier League clubs.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport report that he is focused on continuing to succeed with Inter and that both he and the club are keen to extend his contract, which expires at the end of next season, by four years.

Skriniar, 27, has been a colossus at the back for Inter since joining from Sampdoria in 2017.

He was a key member of the Inter side which won the Scudetto in 2020-21 and also helped the Nerazzurri to success in the Scupercoppa and Coppa Italia this season.

In all, he has made 215 appearances for the club and scored 11 goals.

Skriniar has 52 caps for Slovakia and was part of the side which qualified for Euro 2016.
