Inter are closing in on a deal for Venezia midfielder Tanner Tessmann, who they’re planning to loan out to Everton after securing his signature.

The Nerazzurri have been looking for an agreement for the 22-year-old American midfielder for a number of weeks now and are set to pay the Arancioneroverdi around €7m. No agreement has been reached with his entourage yet, slowing things.

Tessmann has grown at Venezia over the last three years and shined in their successful Serie B campaign last term, scoring six goals and providing three assists across 37 regular league appearances. His contract expires at the end of June next year.

Inter plan for Tessmann

Local paper La Nuova di Venezia e Mestre via TMW details how Inter are ready to welcome Tessmann and would look to send him off to Everton on loan following his arrival from Venezia. Talks are now ongoing with his representatives regarding a four-year deal and the associated add-ons.

In the meantime, Roma owner Dan Friedkin is still working on completing his takeover bid for the Toffees, adding another link to Serie A.
