Inter set sights on Anderlecht’s Debast in search for Skriniar replacement

Inter have started searching for a long-term replacement for the PSG bound Milan Skriniar and are reportedly paying close attention to Anderlecht’s Zeno Debast.

The Nerazzurri now have around six months to start lining up possible options to replace the Slovakian centre back, who has already signed a pre-contract with the Ligue 1 giants. Inter understand the importance of finding the right replacement but also must contend with limited transfer market resources.

As reported by Het Nieuws Blad, Inter sent scouts to watch Debast in his most recent outing in Anderlecht’s 0-0 draw with Royal Antwerp last month, and they were impressed with what they saw.

The 19-year-old Belgian centre back, who joined Anderlecht at the age of six, has been an impressive figure for the club this season, making 33 appearances across all competitions. Contracted to the team until 2025, the defender has an estimated market value of around €8-10m.

Debast can play as both a central defender, on the left or right, and a defensive midfielder, looking a decent fit for Simone Inzaghi’s three-man defence.
