Inter are keeping a close eye on their rivals Juventus as they plan out a possible deal for star winger Federico Chiesa next year.

The 26-year-old Italian forward has entered the last year of his contract with the Bianconeri and hasn’t agreed to sign a new deal yet, with disagreements over the salary and length of the agreement.

Chiesa has been heavily linked with a move away from Juventus this summer, with various clubs like Roma, Chelsea and Tottenham all registering interest in a deal. The club decided to leave the 26-year-old out of their squad for the pre-season training retreat in Germany.

Inter set sights on Chiesa

Corriere della Sera suggests that Inter are keeping a close eye on Chiesa’s situation at Juventus as they plan out a possible free transfer for the star winger next summer.

For now, there’s no offers in Italy for the 26-year-old, who is considering offers from abroad, so there’s still every chance that he fails to find a new home this summer.

  1. Whenever I read a news about this guy I immediately remember his interview before Euro in which he said this euro will prove everyone wrong about me, Lol.

  2. @Ozwee – In all honesty, the entire team was horrendous. Chiesa is a great player. He was the victim of Allegri’s outdated coaching philosophy. I think he deserves a chance under Motta. Unless, with Motta its more personal than a tactical decision.

  3. Chiesa was Man of the Match against Albania, & against Spain whole team not good enough, except for Donnarumma & Calafiori. He was benched against Croatia until they went 1-0 up, Chiesa was Italys best player when he came on, & against the Swiss was a horrible performance from the team but Chiesa was one of the only players actually making things happen, don’t forget he was played out on the right, we all know Chiesa’s best position is wide left !
