According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter directors will meet Milan Skriniar’s entourage tomorrow, confirming their offer to extend the defender’s contract.

The Slovakia international sees his current deal expire this coming June, but talks over a new deal have led nowhere so far.

According to Gazzetta, there will be a new meeting between the club and the player’s agent tomorrow.

Skriniar is aware Inter can’t match the offer PSG made last summer when the Ligue 1 giants put €8.5m on the table. The Nerazzurri will offer Skriniar a pay rise, but can’t offer more than €6m per season plus add-ons.

As per Gazzetta, tomorrow’s meeting won’t be decisive, but the Nerazzurri will likely understand what Skriniar wants to do with his future and whether they’ll have to look for suitors in January to avoid seeing him leave as a free agent in the summer.

Inter have not set a deadline for the defender’s contract extension, but Marotta has warned the 27-year-old that the club ‘can’t achieve the impossible.’

During their away game at Monza on Saturday, Inter fans put up a banner begging Skriniar to extend his stay at the Stadio Meazza.
