Inter have given Milan Skriniar a clear date to respond to their final contract offer as they look to tie down the PSG target to a new deal.
The 27-year-old Slovakian centre back is one of the most important players in Simone Inzaghi’s squad and has featured heavily this season, playing 1907 minutes of action across Serie A and the Champions League. With only six months left on his contract with Inter, Skriniar is reaching a key crossroads in his career.
As reported by Sky Sports Italia, Inter have set a deadline of January 20 in their ultimatum to Skriniar, wanting a clear response by that date. Should one not arrive by that deadline, they could even withdraw their offer and start planning ahead of his departure in the summer.
Paris Saint-Germain have been seriously interested in Skriniar for months now and have offered him a more lucrative contract than the Nerazzurri, leaving the 27-year-old in a tough spot.
Looks like it is goodbye Skriniar. Ultimatums to high profile players/agents almost always never work for the club. No one likes ultimatums, or at least, people in positions of power.
Ciao to Skriniar!
Bye bye Skriniar. Inter should have cashed in on him when they had the chance.
Generally Inter do very well on free transfers. The opposite here it seems. Good luck to the lad.
