Inter are hoping to raise funds by selling striker Andrea Pinamonti for €20-25m, with interest from Fiorentina, Monza and Bologna.

The Nerazzurri are revamping their front line with Paulo Dybala as a free agent after being released from Juventus, while Romelu Lukaku is on his way back on loan from Chelsea.

That means they need to sell players in order to balance the books and they can make a healthy profit on Pinamonti.

The 23-year-old spent this season on loan with Empoli and made a very strong impression with 13 goals and two assists in 36 Serie A appearances.

Pinamonti is a product of the Inter youth academy and therefore would represent pure profit on the sale.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the clubs interested in purchasing Pinamonti are Fiorentina and newly-promoted Monza, while Bologna could also potentially make a bid for the centre-forward if Marko Arnautovic is to leave this summer.

  1. @Wake up

True. Typical Serie A mindset. No long-term planning, always with the quick-fix name.

But for his sake, he’s probably better off leaving.

  2. But guys if inter were to chose him instead of Rom and results were poor for the first 10 games the fans would be calling him a ‘Lord’ and the management cr@p for missing out on Rom. We cannot have it both ways.

  3. @Urban Sombrero If a club makes their decisions based on the risk of a player and the management being chastised by fickle fans then that club is likely to crash and burn. The point is keeping faith in a player because it will pay off in the long term. For me, whether Inter get Lukaku and Dybala and keep Martinez, Pinamonti should still stay because as a young player, he can only learn and improve from older, more complete players. Pinamonti has actually said he learnt from Lukaku and prior to that from Icardi. Instead, sell Correa and get Sanchez off the wage bill, as long term neither of these players offer much to the club. I’d even hold on to Dzeko because he offers something completely different from the others. With the club in 3 competitions, having 5 strikers is not a bad idea.
