Inter have secured exclusive rights to redevelop land in the Rozzano area near Milan, as they too forge ahead with plans to build a stadium away from San Siro.

Both Inter and Milan have lost patience with the situation in the centre of the city, knowing the local authorities and even Government will continue to throw blocks in the way of tearing down the existing Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

With that in mind, they have also decided to go their separate ways and build a stadium each rather than continue to share an arena.

Calcio e Finanza report paperwork has been filed by Inter giving them exclusive rights to study redevelopment of land in the Rozzano area on the outskirts of Milan until April 30, 2024.

That will give them time to prepare a report and full costs on the project in that area.

In turn, Milan have already locked down land in the San Donato Milanese area, so the two stadiums could end up being just 9km apart (6 miles).
