Inter turned on the style for their first friendly since the break for the World Cup, flattening Gzira United in Malta 6-1 including goals from Hakan Calhanoglu and Robin Gosens.

The Nerazzurri are in Malta for a warm weather training camp without the players who participated in the tournament in Qatar.

Raoul Bellanova broke the deadlock with a diving header on Alessandro Bastoni’s cross from the left, then Kristjan Asllani’s strike squirmed through the goalkeeper’s hands.

Gzira United got one back with De Assis on a corner, but Hakan Calhanoglu curled in one of his trademark free kicks.

The first half ended 4-1 thanks to Robin Gosens springing the offside trap.

Federico Dimarco continued the rout with his left-foot finish on an assist from Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who returned the favour with a cross for the Armenian’s header at the 90th minute.
