Inter are confident of extending with Marcelo Brozovic and have reportedly scheduled a meeting after the Italian Supercup Final.

The Croat sees his contract expire at the end of the season and the Nerazzurri have been in talks to extend his stay at the club for a long time.

Brozovic reportedly rejected Inter’s opening contract extension offer, but the Serie A giants are confident of reaching an agreement with the 29-year-old.

According to Calciomercato.com, Inter directors will meet the player’s agents after the Italian Supercup Final against Juventus, which is scheduled for Wednesday at 20.00 UK time.

The report claims Inter will offer Brozovic a new €6.5m-a-year deal plus add-ons.

The Serie A giants are in a hurry to shake hands with their midfield star and are unwilling to push negotiations beyond January.

The Nerazzurri have recently extended with Alessandro Bastoni, Lautaro Martinez and Nicolò Barella.

They will also sit down with Ivan Perisic and Samir Handanovic, who see their contracts run out in June.
