League leaders Inter will be looking to continue their charge to the title with a win over a Salernitana side in freefall in their Friday evening Serie A clash.

The match between the Nerazzurri and the Granata kicks off at 20.00 UK time at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan.

Simone Inzaghi’s Inter have kept up the momentum since winning the Supercoppa Italiana last month, winning their last three consecutive league games over Fiorentina, Juventus and Roma. They now hold a seven-point lead over the Bianconeri, and still have a game in hand.

The Nerazzurri cannot count on Francesco Acerbi and Juan Cuadrado, both sidelined with injuries. Alessandro Bastoni is just a booking away from picking up a yellow-card suspension.

Salernitana decided to sack coach Pippo Inzaghi after the 3-1 loss to Empoli last weekend, bringing in Fabio Liverani to replace him. The Campania outfit sit rock bottom of the league table after 24 games, picking up just 13 points from two wins and seven draws.

The Granata are without the injured Federico Fazio, Norbert Gyomber, Lorenzo Pirola and Niccolo Pierozzi. Domagoj Bradaric is unavailable through suspension.

When these two teams met back in September, Inter cruised to a 4-0 win over Salernitana, with all four goals coming from Lautaro Martinez.

Probable line-ups for Inter vs Salernitana

Inter (3-5-2): Sommer; Pavard, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Arnautovic, Thuram.

Salernitana (4-3-2-1): Ochoa; Sambia, Boateng, Manolas, Zanoli; Coulibaly, Maggiore, Basic; Kastanos, Candreva; Dia.
