The report reveals that ‘in a single match, the 11 on the pitch combined, run an average of more than 113 kilometres’.

Napoli run an average of 112.18 kilometres per game and Lazio cover 112.08 kilometres.

Inter’s main rivals for most of the campaign sit a few steps further down, with Atalanta seventh on 109.6, Juventus are ninth on 109.3 and Milan only 14th with 108 kilometres.

The extra kilometres has clearly helped the Nerazzurri this season and of all the players in the team, the one who stands out in this particular ranking is Marcelo Brozovic.

The Croatia international averages 13 kilometres per game. In the top five of the championship, there’s also another Inter player, Nicolò Barella.

The Italy international averages 11.4 kilometres on average and sits fifth in the ranking, but between the two Inter players, you find Sampdoria midfielder Morten Thorsby at second on 11.7 kilometres per game, Cagliari’s Marko Rog on 11.6 and Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic on 11.5.
