Merih Demiral is not part of Atalanta’s plans and the defender has been approached by Inter and Roma, but Nottingham Forest are ready to bid €20m.

The former Sassuolo and Juventus centre-back has fallen down the pecking order in Bergamo over the last year, largely due to a tense rapport with coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

He is on the market, but only for the right price, considering he was signed from Juve for €21m plus bonuses.

Inter have long been keeping an eye on his situation and are believed to be the preferred option as far as Demiral is concerned, but currently have other priorities in attack.

Sky Sport Italia suggest that Roma are also looking towards Demiral on loan with option to buy as a replacement for Roger Ibanez.

Now Tuttomercatoweb point to Nottingham Forest and a bid worth €20m that would comfortably be higher than anything Inter or Roma were prepared to pay.

However, the problem remains that the Turkey international has no intention of joining Nottingham Forest and would prefer to wait for a different Serie A option.

Nottingham Forest had also made a big offer for Ibanez, but he preferred Al-Ahli.
