Inter could be heading for an ugly legal battle and rush to find a new main sponsor, as Digitalbits have still not resolved the missed payments.
The cryptocurrency firm had signed a four-year contract worth €85m to be Inter’s main sponsors, both on the jersey and around the pitch.
However, the first instalment was not paid and as a result Inter removed Digitalbits signs from the training ground, during pre-season friendlies and on the website.
So far, it remains on the jerseys, but that too could change if the Corriere della Sera report is to be believed.
Negotiations are continuing, but if the funds are not found to fulfil that contract, Inter will face a legal battle as well as a rush to find a new sponsor who can guarantee payment.
Considering the Nerazzurri are already struggling to balance the books, losing the revenue from a lucrative long-term contract would be a huge blow.
It has been a very difficult year for cryptocurrency with fears the bubble has burst.
Cheap inter pay up, or find a new sponsor
@MOHAMMED
Are you daft? Inter are the ones that are owed money not the other way round.
Played with risky investments.
Got burned big time. Let Inter be a lesson to everyone.
Get Pirelli back!! Simple as that…
