Defender Rolando is being linked with a return to Inter from French club Marseille.
The Portuguese international previously spent a year on loan with the Nerazzurri during the 2013-14 season, during his time with Porto.
He then had another loan spell at Anderlecht prior to joining the Ligue 1 club in 2015.
However, Sportitalia now claims that the San Siro club are keen to bring the 31-year-old back to Serie A.
