Inter still hope to sell Joaquin Correa and their most likely saviours are Panathinaikos, who are making a new approach.

The Nerazzurri announced their squad list for the Champions League and it did not include the Argentina international.

He is something of a weight on their finances and a sale this summer would be ideal to help balance the books.

Panathinaikos had already been in talks for Tucu Correa last month and Inpao.gr claim they are now ready for a new bid.

Correa targeted by Panathinaikos

The Greek transfer window is not for another week, so there is time to get a deal over the line.

However, Panathinaikos must first sell Andraz Sporar to make room.

Inter also will be unlikely to even consider an offer for Correa that is under €8m, as it would make him a net loss.

The 30-year-old was signed from Lazio at the behest of Simone Inzaghi in 2021 for a total of €33m.

He made 77 appearances for the club, with 10 goals and five assists, spending last season on loan at Olympique Marseille.

  1. @Boh you can’t blame him , he expected him to contribute at least as much as he did for the Biancocelesti and it’s shocking to me he didn’t. So it is on Correa himself (personally I used to love him, but after what he did to Luis Felipe I dislike him).

  2. Apologies let me correct myself, you can only partially blame him. He does need to take some of the blunder, I can’t actually say he has no fault even though Correa himself flopped, Inzaghi did not.
