Marko Arnautovic and Alexis Sanchez are facing an uncertain future at Inter as the Nerazzurri have identified Mehdi Taremi and Albert Gudmundsson to replace them in 2024-25.

Monday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, on page 14, reports Inter’s transfer plans for next season, saying that the Nerazzurri have identified replacements for Arnautovic and Alexis Sanchez.

The Chile international is expected to leave at the end of his contract in June, and Genoa star Gudmundsson is the leading candidate to take his spot at the Stadio Meazza.

The Iceland international has reportedly been given the green light to join Inter next season, but the Serie A leaders must negotiate with Genoa. The Grifone’s asking price is €30m, and the Nerazzurri want to sign the striker on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy.

Arnautovic’s deal runs out in June 2025, but Inter have already agreed to sign a new centre-forward for 2024-25. It is no secret that Iran international Taremi has accepted the Nerazzurri offer, so he will join the Serie A giants on a free transfer in the summer, at the end of his contract with Porto.

  1. Both were bizarre signings to begin with, especially Sanchez.
He wasn’t good enough for Inter 3 years ago, so who thought he’d be good enough now?
Typical cheap Serie A stop-gap mentality.
