There is good news for Inter, as Joaquin Correa has only sustained heavy bruising during today’s 6-1 win over Bologna and there are no fractures.

The Argentina international was given his first start in the Nerazzurri jersey, alongside fellow countryman Lautaro Martinez.

He was badly winded during an early collision at San Siro and eventually had to be replaced by Edin Dzeko just 28 minutes into the match.

There were fears he had potentially suffered a fracture to the hip, so Correa was taken to the local hospital for tests.

A statement from Inter this evening confirms the tests at the Humanitas clinic in Rozzano all came back negative.

That means there are no fractures, it is only a bad bruise to the left hip.

The former Lazio player scored two goals on his debut for Inter, coming off the bench to turn the game around for a 3-1 victory away to Hellas Verona on August 27.
