According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter directors called Romelu Lukaku to reassure him that Achraf Hakimi will be the only top player leaving the Nerazzurri in the summer.

Lukaku didn’t expect Antonio Conte to leave the club after winning the Serie A title, but the club reassured the Belgian striker the project will continue under Simone Inzaghi.

The Nerazzurri will soon announce their new coach and, perhaps, the sale of Achraf Hakimi too.

Inter directors reportedly informed Lukaku that the Morocco international will be the only top player on his way out of the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in the summer.

The former Real Madrid winger is close to joining PSG, and the likes of Barcelona’s Emerson Royal or Alessandro Florenzi are two of the candidates to replace him.

Inter need to sell Hakimi to keep the books in order, and the same is true of Joao Mario, who could join Sporting CP on a permanent deal.

The Serie A champions may need to sell other players, but not those crucial to Inzaghi’s project.

Nicolò Barella and Lukaku are ‘untouchable’ while Alessandro Bastoni has recently extended his contract with the Nerazzurri.

According to the report, Marcelo Brozovic could have left the Nerazzurri with Conte, but Inzaghi believes he can play a key role in the middle of the park, and the same goes for Christian Eriksen.

Ivan Perisic, Andrea Ranocchia and Aleksandar Kolarov could all leave for the right offer, while the future of Milan Skriniar depends on the proposals he will receive.

If he leaves, Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic is the main target to replace him.

However, the Slovakian defender recently admitted that although Conte’s exit surprised him, he is not planning to leave the Serie A champions in the summer.
