Inter are set to re-ignite their interest in Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram a year after failing to secure his signature.

The Nerazzurri offered €20m plus €5m in add-ons for the 24-year-old French forward last summer, getting close to his €30m release clause, but the player ruptured the medial collateral ligament of his right knee, which forced him to the sidelines for around two months, sinking any possible deal.

As reported by Calciomercato.it, Inter are now set to re-ignite their interest in Thuram, who can be possibly be signed for lower than the €25m total offered last summer due to a relatively lacklustre season in Germany.

The 24-year-old Frenchman has made 18 appearances across all competitions so far this season for Borussia Monchengladbach, for a total of 656 minutes. In that time he’s only scored one goal, meaning that the Nerazzurri may be able to swoop in for a low-cost deal in the summer.

  1. This makes no sense. Get a real bomber with potential like Scamacca. Internet that’s wasted tons of money on players who have never scored that much like Correa instead of getting a real champ.
