Inter are believed to be ready to make an offer for Sampdoria’s Joachim Andersen, but they need to sell Joao Miranda first.

The Brazilian veteran has lost his place in the team to Stefan de Vrij, and has admitted that he wants to play more.

Now Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Miranda is pushing to leave in January, and the Nerazzurri have identified Andersen as his replacement.

Inter are ready to offer a €5-6m loan, plus a youngster – probably Zinho Vanheusden – with an obligation to buy in the summer.

Inter are ready to offer a €5-6m loan, plus a youngster – probably Zinho Vanheusden – with an obligation to buy in the summer.

Given their Financial Fair Play restrictions, the Beneamata can’t buy Andersen outright in January, but they’d fund the loan with the money made by selling Miranda.

There are several issues whoever, the first being Samp’s unwillingness to sell any of their starters in January.

The second is that the obligation to buy would be around €30m, taking the total cost of the deal to above €40m when the loan and Vanheusden’s value are taken into account.

Finally, it’s not clear whether anyone will meet the €10m asking price for Miranda, though Roma and Flamengo are interested.

The Nerazzurri need at least €5-6m to cover the loan, but Miranda’s salary and age would probably push any transfer fee down.
