Inter have reached an agreement with Monza for the transfer of Carlos Augusto according to reports from transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Brazilian is set to join the Nerazzurri on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy for a free of €13m.

Carlos Augusto made a serious impression on Serie A during his and Monza’s first season in the top flight in 2022-23, and as a result has been linked with a move to sides at the top end of both Serie A and the Premier League this summer.

The 24-year-old chipped in with six league goals from 35 appearances during the most recent campaign, having won promotion from Serie B the season prior.

The news comes shortly after a deal was struck between Inter and Union Berlin for the sale of current Nerazzurri full-back Robin Gosens.

The German will move for a fee of around €15, allowing Inter to immediately reinvest the funds on a new player to rotate with Federico Dimarco in Simone Inzaghi’s preferred 3-5-2.
