Inter's Andrea Ranocchia approves Sampdoria, opening to an exchange for Eder or Roberto Soriano and a signing of Empoli's Federico Barba.
The former Nerazzurri captain is looking for a fresh start that would give him the playing time required for a Euro 2016 call-up this summer.
After being linked to a variety of clubs, most prominently Roma, Ranocchia is reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport to have approved a move to Sampdoria.

The transfer would be a strategic move for Inter, who have an interest in other Doria players, notably Eder and Soriano.
As a replacement for Ranocchia, Inter are believed to be considering Empoli's Federico Barba.
The 22-year-old comes with a price-tag of €5m and has already been promoted to the Milanese club by his agent, but the Biscione's offer is currently stuck at €3m.
Barba also enjoys the interest of Napoli and Fiorentina, who may be willing to beat that price.
