Inter are reportedly working on a deal for Barcelona full-back Aleix Vidal.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter’s continued issues with Financial Fair Play mean their €35m option to buy Joao Cancelo is out of the question.

Consequently, the Nerazzurri would be in the market for ‘coups with little financial impact’, taking them to Vidal – a long-time Serie A target.

The 28-year-old is surplus to requirements at Barca, having appeared for more than 45 minutes just six times last season.

However, the newspaper notes his ankle problems are ‘no more’, while his versatility in being able to play on either flank as a full-back or winger makes him the ‘perfect’ heir to Cancelo.

The Nerazzurri are said to be hopeful of agreeing a season-long loan for the Spaniard with an option to buy for €10m, although Barca would be holding out for €15m.
