Adem Ljajic and Walter Mazzarri punished their former club as Torino got their first home win over unlucky Inter in 24 years.

Mazzarri faced his former club for the first time since he was fired in November 2014 and wasn’t the only familiar face, as Adem Ljajic, Nicolas Burdisso, Cristian Ansaldi and Joel Obi are also ex-Inter men.

Salvatore Sirigu performed heroics, while Ivan Perisic and Rafinha were denied by the woodwork, then Nicolas N’Koulou performed an acrobatic goal-line clearance.

Toro also had chances to score more goals, as Samir Handanovic fingertipped away a strange Lorenzo De Silvestri volley and Ljajic skimmed the upright.

It’s a huge missed opportunity for Inter, who would’ve leapfrogged Roma into third place with a win.
