Inter have set their sights on talented Monza full back Carlos Augusto and believe Stefano Sensi could be key in pulling off a deal.

The 24-year-old Brazilian shined for the Biancorossi in his debut Serie A season, scoring six goals and providing five assists across 35 appearances, helping the Lombardy outfit finish comfortably above the relegation zone in their first topflight outing.

Carlos Augusto quickly attracted the attention of clubs across Europe, including Nottingham Forest and Juventus, and he could soon make the jump to a more competitive side.

Corriere dello Sport via FcInterNews reports that Inter would make a move for Carlos Augusto should they sell Robin Gosens this summer. The German could return to the Bundesliga after a relatively disappointing spell with the Nerazzurri, failing to replicate his work at Atalanta.

Sensi could give the Milanese club a key boost in their talks with the Biancorossi. The Italian midfielder spent last season on loan with Monza and did well, contributing to five goals across 28 games.
